Hello bloggers! Sorry I haven’t posted a blog recently. With final exams, I haven’t had time to do anything. Anyway, I finally had the chance to post a blog about my family’s Thanksgiving trip. Hope you enjoy!!!
For Thanksgiving, we went to our Uncle’s vacation house in Chimney Rock, North Carolina. Wednesday morning we left our house and headed for the mountains! 6 hours later….
…we finally arrived! After we visited with the family for a while, we went out to explore and take pictures.
It’s so nice and relaxing to have this for a backyard.
The next day was Thanksgiving! My brother and I woke up early to go have coffee in the river and to take more photos since he’s a photographer.
Once we were finished, we went back to the house to watch the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade with the whole family while making homemade biscuits.
My dad’s homemade biscuit recipe is the best (better than Cracker Barrel’s .) And it’s even better with honey from a market in Asheville, NC.
After watching the parade, we all went exploring even more because you can never get enough of the outdoors in the mountains.
We went back to the house and helped prepare for our Thanksgiving dinner.
It was finally time to eat!
After dinner and just hanging out at the house, we took our annual trip to Epic Theaters in Hendersonville, NC to see Love the Coopers.
The next day, we did our normal routine of lounging around the house, exploring, and walking through the Chimney Rock Village.
We spent the rest of the day in front of the fire playing games, then took a trip to the local coffee shop.
Saturday, we took one last stroll through the village, packed up, and headed home.
See ya at Christmas, mountain house.
Until next time, Caitlin
