On Friday morning we woke up and had a full English breakfast and it was even better than I thought it would be
After breakfast around 8:30am, we walked over to Durham Cathedral for Heidi’s graduation.
Alex, Heid, Christopher and me after the ceremony 🙂
After graduation, it was around 12:00pm, so we walked to one of Heidi’s favorite cafes to eat at Sisters. We all had sandwiches and soup (because it was so cold outside), with tea.
After we had lunch, we walked around for little bit and then we went back to our place and relaxed before going to dinner.
We had reservations at 5:30pm to go to a place called Zen that is a really good Thai restaurant. We all shared different types of food because the portions were so huge.
After dinner around 7:00pm, we went for a nice long evening walk around Durham Cathedral, the whole river, and then back through town.

Listening to street performers while walking around 🙂
Walking around town at 10:00pm and still this light outside
After our walk, we played at a really cool park near Heidi’s apartment and then went back to Alex’s apartment to play Balderdash. Around 11:00pm while it was still light outside, we walked back over to our place.
Saturday was Christopher’s birthday. We had breakfast then went rowing down the river.
We finished around 12:10pm then went to have sandwiches and salads at another cafe
After we ate, since it was Christopher’s birthday, he wanted to go in all the shops so he could buy clothes. There were more street performers that played Irish music 🙂
Instead of having birthday cake, we went to a cafe to each have our own slice of cake with tea and coffee.
After we ate cake, we walked to a train station in Durham to go to Darlington and then go to Bishop, Auckland where we were going to see Kynren, an Epic Tale of England outdoor performance.

Waiting for the performance to start in the super cold weather. This was the first time I had to wear four layers of clothing in July.
Kynren, an Epic Tale of England. 2,000 years of English history in 90 minutes
After the performance which was AMAZING, we got a cab back to our place and crashed.
