This trip went by way too fast! Tuesday morning, a cab picked us up from our apartment at 7:45am and took us to Heathrow airport. Heidi and Alex are staying in England since Durham is where they live while attending school. We told them bye then went to our gate. Our flight left to go to RDU around 10:30am London time. Since it was early when we left, I fell asleep on the plane pretty much as soon as we were in the air. With the airlines attendants asking you if you want a drink or a snack and having a kid kicking the back of your seat, I only slept probably 30 minutes total, but I love flying so it wasn’t bad to stay awake most of the flight. Plus, the movie selection was too good to sleep through. The first movie they played was Zootopia, then they played some kind of TV series that wasn’t interesting so I read a book during that, and the last thing they played was Pan which was really good. We landed at RDU at 2:05pm EST time. After we went through security and got our bags, my dad and Nathan were waiting on us and we left RDU around 3:30pm. Once we left RDU, we went to my grandparents’ house in Raleigh to visit with them, have dinner, then we headed home. I woke up this morning at 6:00am thinking it was already around 12pm, but other than waking up earlier, I haven’t had any jet lag. I’m ready to go back to England now!
Waiting for the cab to arrive at the apartment to take us to Heathrow.
Taking off from London 😦
American Airlines knows how to make a flight better.
Arriving in NC.
Made it to RDU.
Thank you guys so much for following and liking all my blogs I’ve posted. I had so much fun on this trip and can’t wait to go back! This may be the last trip we’re taking overseas this summer, but it isn’t the last time we’re traveling somewhere else this summer. In the mean time, you can follow me on Instagram @katebrichards for updates.
Until next time,
