Richards’ Reunion in the Mountains

Wednesday morning my family and I headed to my uncle’s house in Forest City, NC (my hometown). We arrived at his place around dinner time, so we went to get dinner at our favorite restaurant called Scoggins and then went back to his house to visit. He also has the prettiest view of the mountains in his backyard, so we stayed outside to watch the sunset. For the rest of the night, we sat around playing guitars and visiting ๐Ÿ™‚

Thursday morning, we left my uncle’s house in Forest City and headed to the vacation house in Chimney Rock, NC, where we are hosting theย Richards’ reunionย for the weekend ๐Ÿ™‚ ย We don’t get to see my dad’s side of the family very often since we live far from each other, so it’s nice to be with each other again for this weekend. Everyone is coming for the reunion Friday (tomorrow), but we got here a day earlier to get groceries and things settled.

Once we arrived at the vacation house today, Nathan, Christopher, and I went to take pictures around the house (as we always do), and then we went swimming in the river. When we were finished swimming and got hungry, we went back to the house to get cleaned up and then went to Medina’s in the Chimney Rock village for dinner. After dinner, Nathan, Christopher, and I went to the river in the backyard to take pictures while my parents went grocery shopping for the reunion. For the rest of the night, we played pool and relaxed before 26 Richards get here tomorrow ๐Ÿ™‚

I am so excited to be able to relax with our whole family (minus my sister who is in England) at one of my favorite places this weekend, and I’m looking forward to sharing it with you guys too!

Until next time,

Caitlin
