Hope everyone is having a wonderful Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving technically started last night in our house. Last night, my family and I watched the Macy’s Day Parade special, A Charlie Brown Thanksgiving, and a Hallmark movie while drinking tea to kick off Thanksgiving.
My favorite part of Thanksgiving every year is the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Every morning, I set my alarm clock for 8am so I can get ready for the day before being glued to the TV until the parade ends. SO this morning, I set my alarm for 8am, got ready for the day, grabbed a cup of coffee, and was ready for the Macy’s parade.
Since we live near my grandparents’ house and that’s where we have Thanksgiving, we were cooking most of the food at our house and taking it to my grandparents’ house. Happiness is watching the Macy’s parade with your family in your pjs while food is being prepared in the kitchen.
While waiting for the food to get finished, we went for a short walk around the neighborhood.
We went to my grandparents’ house around 2:30pm and had our Thanksgiving dinner. Once all of the food was prepared, my grandma made a huge plate of food and took it to a homeless person who was needing something to eat. Then we had our big feast. Thanksgiving isn’t complete until we have my grandma’s homemade pumpkin pie 🙂
Since we moved to Raleigh in August, some of our family members hadn’t seen our house yet, so we took our family to see our new house and relaxed there for a while. Then we went back to my grandparents’ house for round two of pumpkin pie and eggnog.
Now, I am getting back into my Christmas pjs and ready to watch The Wonderful World of Disney: Magical Holiday Celebration with the family 🙂
Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!
Until next time,
