It’s been way too long since my last blog post! Hope all of you had a wonderful Christmas and New Year 🙂
My sister and her now fiancé flew in from England at the beginning of December, my brother’s girlfriend flew in from England on December 22nd, and I wanted to spend as much time with them as possible, so I’ve been MIA for a while. They all flew back last week and my classes have been canceled due to snow, so I finally have a chance to blog about our Christmas vacation and New Year.
On December 23, my family traveled to Chimney Rock, NC to my uncle’s family’s vacation house. By the time we arrived, it was dinner time so we just stayed in and visited with everyone.
The next day we decided to go exploring around the house (like we always do).
We pretty much spent the whole day outside, playing games, and watching movies.
That night, we went to an Episcopal Church for their Christmas Eve Service.
Once everyone woke up, we opened our stockings. The rest of the day was spent doing more exploring and playing games. Around dinner time, we opened our Christmas presents. Once we all opened our presents, my sister’s boyfriend had one more present for her, which was an engagement ring. My sister is engaged! After everything was calmed back down, we had our Christmas dinner.
After dinner we played more games and watched movies.
The next day consisted of the same thing. Played a lot of games, watched movies, went on hikes, and went to the movie theater. Some of the family watched Star Wars and some people went to see Sing. I was one of the ones to see Sing, which is such a good movie. Speaking of movies, La La Land. GO SEE IT if you haven’t already! Favorite movie ever!
Anyways, everyday was spent enjoying time with the family and relaxing. We left to come back home on the 27th. Once we were home, everyday was a lazy day watching movies, catching up on The Walking Dead, playing games, going shopping, my sister and I got our nails done, and just chilled 🙂
For New Years we went to downtown Raleigh for First Night, which consists of bands, food, rides, performances, ballroom dancing, then fireworks at midnight. I would post pictures from it, but my computer is being annoying and won’t upload them.
I hope all of you enjoyed the Holidays and being with family as much as I did!
Also, my best friend and I will be going on a trip to Nashville, TN soon! Any suggestions on must see places in Nashville? Would love to know where to go or what to see! Feel free to comment below 🙂
