Hair Routine

Because I haven’t written a blog in a long time and because people ask what hair products I use, here is a blog about my normal hair routine. I don’t use a whole lot of hair products, so my routine is easy and cheap. My hair is naturally curly, so I tend to let my hair just air-dry unless I want my hair straight. Then I have to put more products in it, blow dry it, and straighten it. Then after all that, it curls on its own when I step outside. So with leaving my hair natural, these are the products that I use:

Shampoo & Conditioner:  Apparently you’re suppose to change up shampoo and conditioner every month so your hair doesn’t get use to the same product.  I have recently started buying travel size shampoo and conditioner so that way I’m not wasting half a bottle. (Ulta or Target usually has every kind of shampoo and conditioner in a travel size).  Even though I change what kind of shampoo and conditioner I use every month, I am in love with OGX Thick & Full Biotin & Collagen shampoo with the same kind of conditioner. I also like using L’Oreal Paris Ever Pure shampoo and conditioner or Moroccanoil Moisture Repair shampoo and conditioner. It takes me forever to shop for shampoo and conditioner because I read all the ingredients. I try to stay away from Sodium Lauryl Sulfate and Sodium Laureth Sulfate.

Dry shampoo:  Since my hair doesn’t get oily quickly, I only wash my hair once a week or week and a half. I have found that Dove Volume & Fullness is the best dry shampoo for me and I use it only when my hair starts getting a little oily usually the day before I wash my hair. That way a lot of dry shampoo isn’t built up in my hair either.

Hair Cleansing:  Every other week I use Neutrogena Shampoo that is used as a substitute for regular shampoo and conditioner. Its pretty much a hair detox. This is especially useful if you use a lot of hair products that are weighing down your hair. When I first tried this kind of shampoo I didn’t know how it would be since I usually have to have conditioner to get tangles out, but it is amazing! You can literally feel the shampoo strip out built up hair products and it leaves your hair bouncier, more shiny, and soft.

Daily Vitamin:  Other than hair products, I take a Biotin pill in the morning which makes my hair grow way faster.

And that’s it! If you have favorite hair products, please share them with me. I am always wanting to change it up and try new things 🙂

Until next time,
