Pumpkin everything, Halloween movie marathons, NC State Fair, football games, so many good things about this time of year. October has been such a crazy busy and fun month. With being in a play, exams, and helping my sister plan her wedding that’s happening on Nov. 4th and being on Maid of Honor duty, things have been pretty hectic.
No matter how busy things get though, I can’t help but stop and appreciate this time of year. And my sister and her fiancé arrived from England the other week for their wedding, so that makes this time of year even better. Here are a few of my favorite things I have done so far this fall.
Pumpkin everything for brunch. Sola coffee, which is a local coffee cafe, has the best hot pumpkin mini donuts and pumpkin lattes.
NC State Fair. One of my favorite reasons why I love this time of year is because of the fair. The food, rides, games, animals, everything about the State Fair, I love.
Sporting events. Whether it’s football or hockey, I can’t get enough of sporting events with the family. I love going to my little brother’s high school to watch their football team play on Friday nights and I also really like hockey games.
Halloween festivities. Whether it’s trying on Halloween costumes for fun in stores, having a horror movie marathon, going to Halloween parties, or haunted farms, if it has anything to do with Halloween, I’m all in.
I decided to do something simple and go as Rosie the Riveter for Halloween and dressed my dog up as the cutest little bee. After doing Halloweeny things all day, I’m currently sitting with my siblings watching Stranger Things while drinking cider and eating Halloween candy.
I hope you all had a safe and fun Halloween as well!
PS, I have started a new blog called A Capital Idea for one of my classes at my university. Check it out!
Until next time,
