Starting the Journey to England

At 4am, I woke up to start getting the final things packed for the trip to England. Raleigh Durham International airport taxis showed up to the house around 6:45am and we were headed to the airport.

We were suppose to board the plane around 9:30am, but it got delayed and we didn’t bored until close to 11am. But finally, after waiting around we were on the plane headed to JFK International airport in NY.

The flight wasn’t bad at all. The Price Is Right was on (haha), I got a couple chapters of my book knocked out, and in no time we were arriving at the airport in NY. Around 12:30pm we landed in NY, picked up our luggage, took an air train to our terminal, checked in luggage, went through security, ate lunch at the airport’s food court, and walked around the shops.

This day so far has consisted of nothing but going through security checks and waiting around. I’m currently writing this post from the waiting area at gate 14 at JFK while I have wifi. I’m also trying to keep myself awake so I will hopefully sleep on the plane to Heathrow. It’s currently after 4pm and I’m going on 13 hours of being awake already with no caffeine! I’m about to crash.

We are suppose to arrive in London around 7am GMT (England time) and check in to our Β  hotel at Covent Garden and then walk around London sight seeing, so I wanted to go ahead and write this post in case I don’t have a chance to later.

After today though, I’ll be writing a post every night, so make sure to follow me so you can get updates!

Until next time,

Caitlin xxx
