Day Five & Six – Durham & Whitby

Sorry this post is a little short with more pictures than writing. I finally have WiFi so I’m doing quick post.

Day 5

We traveled from Leeds to Durham to my sister and brother-in-law’s house. Once we arrived in Durham, we put our things away, met their cats (my niece kitties haha) and walked around.

We walked into the village for lunch at Riverview Kitchen. During lunch, I was having a conversation with my sister about getting a tattoo since I have always wanted one and there was one close by where she had gotten hers from. So, after lunch she took me to get my first tattoo. It was spontaneous, but the tattoo wasn’t spontaneous. I’ll post a blog about the reason behind my tattoo later.

After getting my tattoo which took like 39 minutes, we went rowing down the river.

Then we went to tour the Durham Cathedral.

Day 6

We took a day trip to Whitby. We ate lunch at a cute little cafe, road a boat, explore Whitby Abbey, went crabbing, and ended the day with fish & chips with mushy peas.

Now we are in Scotland and hopefully I will be able to do a longer more detailed post about our day tonight.
