Hey guys! We are getting back into the fun reality TV season. I will be talking about the Golden Globes in this post, but check back here Monday because I will be posting about the season premiere of the Bachelor! But for now, we all know the Golden Globes are tomorrow, which I’m super excited about. Award season is my favorite to watch. From the red carpet countdown, to first arrivals, and then the actual awards, I love everything about it. So, I want to know who you are rooting for to win. Of course you can go to the website for the full lists, but here’s a few categories I have chosen to talk about.
According to Vox , here is the list of some of the 2019 nominees:
Best Picture — Drama
For this category, I’m pulling for A Star Is Born. Although the ending wasn’t my favorite, (I won’t spoil it in case you haven’t seen it), it was real and unlike other movies that have that perfectly happy ending. Other than the ending though, I loved everything about it. Plus it’s Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper. Come on.
Best Picture — Comedy or Musical
I definitely hope Mary Poppins Returns will win this category. At first, I thought the movie was going to be a bit too corny, but I absolutely loved it. It was such a feel good movie and took you back to childhood memories.
Best Performance by an Actor in a Motion Picture — Drama
Bradley Cooper, A Star Is Born
Willem Dafoe, At Eternity’s Gate
Lucas Hedges, Boy Erased
Rami Malek, Bohemian Rhapsody
John David Washington, BlacKkKlansman
This category is more difficult for me to decide on. I’m stuck between Bradley Cooper and Rami Malek. Good thing I’m not the one deciding! Either winner would be a good choice as they both did an amazing job at both of their roles.
Best Performance by an Actress in a Motion Picture — Drama
Glenn Close, The Wife
Lady Gaga, A Star Is Born
Nicole Kidman, Destroyer
Melissa McCarthy, Can You Ever Forgive Me?
Rosamund Pike, A Private War
Hands down, I really hope Lady Gaga wins! I absolutely loved her acting and how real it seemed. In my opinion, her role pulled the audience in and it was the perfect emotional rollercoaster. Weird, I know. Also she gets extra points from me because I’m pretty sure that was the first movie she was in. I would have never known. What can she not do??
Let me know who you are pulling for in the comments below! 🙂 Do you guys watch the countdown to the red carpet, red carpet, awards, and after party? Or do you just watch the awards and call it a night?
I will more than likely be tweeting along tomorrow and posting instagram stories as well, so grab your favorite food and drinks, put on cozy clothes, and follow me if you want to see my thoughts throughout the night!
Until next time,
