I have been meaning to write a post about this season’s Bachelorette, but I haven’t had the chance to. Welp, today I am sick and have been put on bed rest by the doctor, so today is the day to get you all caught up on what I think of the Bachelorette.
During Colton’s season of the Bachelor, I wasn’t the biggest fan of Hannah B and was rooting for Caitlyn or Hannah G to become the Bachelorette. But now that Hannah B has started her season, I am the biggest fan of hers.
Night one of the Bachelorette when the guys were arriving, my top 3 guys were Luke P, Peter (the pilot), and Jed (the singer/songwriter). Now my top three are still the same, except for Luke P is out and Tyler has taken over his spot.
When Luke P was doing his introduction and talking about how he changed, I was a fan. He seemed like a manly man and like he had his life together. And by the end of episode one he was out of my top three. He came off super cocky and controlling. I can’t stand when a guy is controlling and doesn’t trust a girl to live her life while he lives his. The clinginess has to go!
I think my favorite part of episode one and where I really started to like Hannah, was when she immediately called Scott out for having a girl back home and sent him home straight away because she doesn’t have time for games. I don’t have time for games so with her sending him home and not taking any crap, she is one of my fave bachelorettes.
On to the other episodes, I do think that Luke P will stay around a little longer to make for good TV, but I hope Hannah B sees how he really is sooner rather than later. Tyler stole my heart during last week’s episode (and he has cute dimples) when Hannah was having a hard time with the drama and he gave her a pep talk. That is what I’m talking about. Sticking with a girl even when she feels down and being there for her.
So like I said earlier, my top three as of right now are Tyler, Peter, and Jed.
In other news, I was recently listening to Nick Viall’s podcast (“The Viall Files) where he had Hannah B on talking about the episodes and all about her, which is another reason why I really like her. If you haven’t listened to it, go check it out. I have linked it above and it’s super good! But one of the main things that stood out to me about Hannah B is her faith.
Personally, I think politics have played a bigger role in religion and turning people away from religion or attending church. My dad is a pastor so I’ve always grown up going to the typical Southern Baptist Church where the southern baptist views aren’t necessarily my views. I believe that God loves everyone no matter what with no exceptions. During my college journey, my mind has opened so much when it comes to religion.
Hannah B was talking about how she grew up going to a Southern Baptist Church and how she had to start thinking about what she believes for herself and where she stands with her faith. And of course, Nick asked her about having sex before marriage because since he grew up attending church, that’s something he had to navigate with as well.
She was telling him that no matter what you do Jesus still loves you because there isn’t anything someone could do to not be loved by him. She went on to talk about how she had to figure out faith for herself because there seem to be too many rules with religion now and she had to be ok with what she was doing for herself and nobody else. I could connect with what she was saying so much and appreciate her being the bachelorette even more now.
So, with all of that being said, I am excited to see more of the Bachelorette and how she handles everything. I am so rooting for her to find her happy ending (and hopefully it’s with one of the guys in my top three 😉 )

Until next time,
