It’s the first day of summer which calls for a trip to the beach! It also means that it’s the only season that I can get away with not wearing makeup everyday because of the summer glow. Am I right ladies!?
Our family tries to take a trip to the beach when we’re all together. Our first stop was Lewis Strawberry Farm to get homemade ice cream (banana is the way to go!).
Then we got on the Fort Fisher Ferry and headed over to Southport. We ate lunch at Moore Street Market (one of the places in the Safe Haven movie) then headed to the beach once we checked in our hotel.
After spending the evening at the beach and getting entertained by dolphins, we hung out at the pool for a while before getting ready to head back out for dinner.
When you’re in Southport, it’s a must to eat at the Provision Co. The only thing you have to worry about when you’re here is if you’re going to get a crab cake sandwich or shrimp because they’re both DELICIOUS. And the dinner view is pretty great too!
Once we finished dinner, we walked along the beach just outside of our hotel room until around 10pm. Then we ended the night with family game night.
And that concludes our first day traveling to and being at the beach. Another post will be coming to you tomorrow! As always, feel free to follow me on Insta to see more glimpses of my summer 🙂
Until next time,
