Turville, Bath, and Stonehenge

There wasn’t enough WiFi where we were staying last night to post, so here’s a post about our journeys from yesterday and today. Yesterday morning we went to Turville, which is where various shows were filmed including Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (the windmill scene). We took our time looking around at the little village before going to our next destination.

We spent the rest of the day exploring the town, seeing the Roman Baths, eating pasta for dinner, and walking back to the house and watching Chitty Chitty Bang Bang since we saw the place where it was filmed.

This morning we got up and had coffee before going back into the town. We wondered around the part of Bath that we didn’t see yesterday including the oldest house in Bath est. 1482, Jane Austin’s house, and also went into Bath Abbey.

We ate lunch and headed to Stonehenge. It costs £20 each to see Stonehenge up close, so we parked near a trail, cut through a pasture, met some sheep, and hopped over the fence to see Stonehenge for free. Not paying and still having the same view plus meeting sheep was a win!

After we walked back through the pasture and made it back to the car, we made our way to my brother and his fiancés apartment in Essex.

Not sure what our plans are tomorrow since England pretty much shuts down on Sundays, but there will be a blog post still of what we did so stay tuned!

Until next time,

Caitlin xxx
