The best time of year is finally here! I am SO excited that today is the first day of fall, even though the weather doesn’t feel like it yet. There are so many things about fall that nothing can replace, so here’s some of them:
Pumpkins, pumpkins, and more pumpkins. Something about pumpkin everything is exciting and relaxing all at the same time. Whether it’s pumpkin candles, pumpkin coffee, or pumpkins in general, the more pumpkins there are, the better life is.
Fall leaves. I love that I live in a neighborhood that has trees lining the sidewalks so that when the leaves begin to change color and fall, it makes everything so much prettier. There’s nothing much better than coming home from a long day in class and taking a long walk through the leaves with my doggy to clear my head.
Fall weather. In NC, fall weather is usually in the 70s with a chill in the air and a cool breeze, but then at night it gets real cold where you definitely need a jacket. It’s the perfect weather for sipping hot chocolate during the local high school football games and also wrapping up in a blanket while having a bonfire. I absolutely love NC’s fall weather!
Fall movies. As I’ve mentioned before, I love horror movies! And that’s one of my favorite things about fall. From Freeform’s Halloween movies, such as Hocus Pocus, Nightmare Before Christmas, Halloweentown, and all the other fun Disney movies, to Syfy’s 31 Days of Halloween including Halloween, Scream, and of course Children of the Corn, to even the cheesy fall Hallmark movies.
You know, the ones about the business lady who moves to the big city and does nothing but work, and then she gets sent to the small town that she grew up in for a project and that’s where she reconnects with her high school sweet heart. Even though their both at different places in their lives and she’s better than her small town, they go to their hometown fall festivals together and then fall back in love with each other and she realizes life’s isn’t all about work. Gosh, nothing like a good romantic Hallmark movie.
The State Fair. What’s better than the State Fair!? Corn on the cob, candy apples, animals, rides, lights at night,…nothing beats the fair in the fall and I’ll definitely have a blog post about the fair when I go in a couple weeks!
And then last but definitely not least, Halloween. More scary movies, scary theme parks, corn mazes, haunted houses, trick or treating, and all the Halloween costumes, Halloween is my favorite time of year! And Nathan’s birthday is on Halloween so it’s extra spooky.
So cheers to the first day of fall and all of these things starting! Here’s to a new start and slowing down to appreciate the beauty that lies within this autumn season.
I promise I am still posting about fall outfits! My next blog post will be my favorite outfits to wear in the fall and will hopefully be posted at the beginning of next week. Be sure to follow my blog so you don’t miss out on anything!
Until next time,
